October 2nd, 2008 marks the second annual International Day of Non-Violence. In Toronto the Humanist Movement will observe this important day by forming a human peace sign.

The peace sign is the start of a the campaign to organize the World-Wide March for Peace and Non-Violence (New Zealand, Oct 2nd 2009, to Argentina, Jan 2nd 2010).The Humanist Movement around the world has joined this initiative and we're organizing now in Canada for it.

Find out more about this campaign! Join us at 6:00 pm to help kick off the year-long campaign to organize the Canadian branch of the World March for Peace. Then at 7:00 pm we will rally and proceed to a nearby park to form a human peace sign (in case of rain we will stay at the Storefront).
